Who we are
International Students & Professionals for Christ (“ISPC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2021. We walk with international students and professionals across the United States, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom through small-group discipleship, prayer, mentorship, and professional fellowship.
This Privacy Policy applies to ispcministry.org and the email address istudentforchrist@gmail.com, as well as any forms, sign-ups, or donation pages we operate.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to keep our promise to you. That falls into three categories:
Information you give us directly
- Membership and contact forms. Your name, email address, country, role (student, professional, etc.), and anything you choose to share in the “anything we should know” field.
- Prayer requests. Whatever you choose to write — anonymously or with your name and email if you would like a personal response.
- Donations. When our donation platform is live, our processor (Stripe) will collect billing details required to process your gift. We do not see or store your full payment information.
- Event RSVPs. Your name and email, and any dietary or accessibility notes you choose to share.
Information collected automatically
- Basic analytics. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs general request information — IP address, browser type, referring page — to keep the site running and to protect against abuse. We do not run any third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
- No advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or behavioral tracking technology.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect data from cookies beyond what your browser stores for our own login session (currently none — there is no account login).
- We do not buy lists or scrape contact information from third parties.
- We do not require religious affiliation, immigration status, or any other sensitive personal data to interact with us.
How we use it
We use the information you give us to:
- Welcome you into the community and send you details about meetings, the Annual Conference, and other events you have asked about.
- Respond personally to questions, prayer requests, and form submissions.
- Send occasional updates and newsletters (only if you have opted in).
- Process and acknowledge your donation (once Stripe is live).
- Improve how we organize programs and resources based on what people ask for.
We will never: sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any organization or individual for marketing, fundraising, or any commercial purpose. Period.
Prayer request confidentiality
Prayer requests are sacred to us. When you submit a prayer request:
- Only the ISPC prayer team sees the content.
- We do not share names, identifying details, or specific requests publicly, on social media, in newsletters, or with leaders outside the prayer team without your explicit permission.
- If you submit anonymously, we have no way of identifying you and cannot respond personally.
- Prayer team members are bound by an internal confidentiality commitment.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of trusted services to operate this site. Each one has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosting and content delivery (privacy policy).
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site (privacy policy).
- Stripe — will process donations once live (privacy policy). We never see or store your full payment card information.
- Gmail — the istudentforchrist@gmail.com inbox where form submissions arrive (Google privacy policy).
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, or any cross-site tracking technology.
How we protect your data
Our site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts data in transit between your browser and our servers. Form submissions arrive in a Gmail inbox protected by Google's two-factor authentication. When Stripe is live, all payment information will be handled directly by Stripe's PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure — we will never see card details.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. If we ever discover a data incident that affects you, we will notify you promptly and explain what happened.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — ask us what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct — ask us to update inaccurate information.
- Delete — ask us to remove your information from our records. We will honor this unless required by law to keep it (for example, donation records for tax compliance).
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from emails at any time by replying to any email or contacting us directly.
To exercise any of these rights, email istudentforchrist@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable period — usually within seven days.
A note for international students and professionals
We know our audience spans countries, immigration statuses, and stages of life. A few specific commitments:
- Immigration status — we never collect, store, or share visa or immigration status information.
- Data location — our servers are in the United States. By using the site or submitting a form, you understand your data is processed there.
- European, UK, and Nigerian residents — we treat your data with care equivalent to GDPR / UK GDPR / NDPR principles even where local law does not require it. You have the same rights of access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal of consent listed above, and the lawful basis for processing your data is your consent.
- Language — if any part of this policy is unclear to you, please email us and we will explain in plain language.
Children's privacy
ISPC primarily serves university students and adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, contact you directly. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
